Support health initiatives in your community as a Pharmacy Assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart.
Your role involves assisting with prescriptions, customer service, and pharmacy operations.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will work collaboratively to provide timely and pleasant service to customers while following the Standards of Practice for dispensing prescriptions. This role includes a mix of customer-facing duties and administrative responsibilities, requiring attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet customers and manage their prescription information
• Assist with preparing and processing prescription orders
• Maintain the cash register efficiently and confidentially
• Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist without delay
• File and manage pharmacy documentation accurately
Requirements:
• High School Diploma is essential
• Preferred diploma from an accredited Pharmacy Assistant course
• Previous pharmacy experience is an asset
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Meticulous attention to detail in prescription handling
