Counsellor​/Psychotherapist Rape Crisis Centre

Join Ottawa Rape Crisis Centre as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist, focusing on trauma-informed care. This full-time, hybrid role serves clients aged 16+ affected by sexual violence.

In this one-year maternity leave replacement position at ORCC, you will provide essential psychotherapy services aligned with organizational and professional standards. Your expertise will support the delivery of vital counselling services, ensuring equitable access to care for survivors. Your compassionate approach and clinical skills will help empower clients in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver therapy rooted in trauma-informed methodologies

• Maintain an active and compliant caseload

• Conduct informative intake assessments for new clients

• Ensure timely and accurate clinical records are kept

• Facilitate psycho educational workshops and group sessions

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Counselling or related field

• Current registration in good standing with CRPO or OCSWSSW

• At least two years of clinical experience preferred

• Familiarity with trauma-focused therapies is beneficial

• Excellent communication and organizational skills
