LifeLabs Specimen Collection Technician

Become a valuable part of Life Labs as a Lab Patient Technician, where you’ll facilitate patient diagnostics and care. This full-time temporary position focuses on specimen collection and communication with patients.

As a Lab Patient Technician, your duties at Life Labs will encompass greeting patients and explaining the specimen collection procedures. You will be responsible for conducting phlebotomies, managing ECG tracings, and handling special test collections efficiently. Emphasizing confidentiality and strong patient rapport, this role ensures high-quality outcomes for Canadians in need of medical services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients and explain testing protocols

• Perform phlebotomies and ECG tracings for diagnostics

• Collect special test samples and document processes

• Maintain strong relationships with clients and handle inquiries

• Prepare specimens for laboratory testing

Requirements:

• Graduate of a Laboratory Assistant program preferred

• Phlebotomy experience is advantageous

• ECG experience or training beneficial

• Strong communication and typing skills essential
