Join Continuum North as a School-Based Mental Health Consultant, supporting children and families both remotely and in-person across Nunavut. Engage with schools using a hybrid service model that includes travel and virtual care.
As a regulated professional, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver mental health services tailored to the unique needs of each community.
Your role will encompass supporting schools and families through both onsite visits and remote consultations, providing flexible service that adapts to your schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide onsite and virtual mental health services
• Collaborate with schools, families, and inter-professional teams
• Address diverse needs using trauma-informed approaches
• Engage in community outreach and support cultural understanding
• Participate in professional development and collaboration
Requirements:
• Licensed as a psychologist, clinical counselor, or similar
• Commitment to cultural humility and reconciliation
• Familiarity with Inuit cultures or a willingness to learn
• Understanding of inclusive schooling models
• Flexibility for northern travel opportunities
