Health Records Technician at Brockville General

Join Brockville General Hospital as a Health Records Technician on a temporary full-time basis for up to 12 months. Focus on clinical coding, data analysis, and department efficiency.
In this role, you will ensure accurate coding of clinical reports while adhering to provincial and federal standards. Collaborating with the Health Records Department, you will participate in quality improvement initiatives and promote patient-centered care. Your expertise in health information management will be vital in ensuring seamless operations during your tenure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Code diseases using ICD-10 and CCI standards
• Abstraction of diagnoses according to CIHI guidelines
• Assemble inpatient and day surgery charts
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative chart analysis
• Assist with routine office duties as necessary
Requirements:
• Graduate of an approved Health Information Management program
• CHIMA certification required
• Knowledge of ICD-10/CCI and CIHI standards
• Familiarity with Med
2020 or similar software
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
