Medical Laboratory Technologist - Part-Time

Location: Kemptville

Join the Laboratory Services team as a Medical Laboratory Technologist in a temporary part-time role. Utilize your skills in specimen analysis and testing while contributing to quality patient care.

In this part-time position, you'll support the Laboratory Manager with key tasks, including diagnostic testing in Transfusion Medicine, Hematology, and Chemistry. This role requires clinical competence and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure timely patient care and adhere to safety practices and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in specimen reception and preparation for testing

• Perform routine testing and validate specimen results

• Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment

• Conduct blood grouping and compatibility testing

• Support training and assessment of new staff and students

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Science program

• Certification with Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science

• Clinical experience in a medical laboratory setting

• Registration in good standing with CMLTO

• Excellent communication and multitasking skills

Deliver diagnostic accuracy and support patient care as a Medical Laboratory Technologist.
