The Safety and Family Partnership Project Coordinator will contribute to the development, implementation, evaluation and on‑going coordination of activities related to projects stemming from CHEO’s membership in the Solutions for Patient Safety network.
The Safety and Family Partnership Project Coordinator will contribute to the organization and implementation of patient safety initiatives, provide support in policy and procedure writing, participate and implement root cause analyses as well as develop and monitor recommendations from these reviews. They will also support corporate Accreditation planning and activities.
- Support projects stemming from CHEO’s membership in the Solutions for Patient Safety Network
- Develop project schedules including identifying activities to produce project deliverables, identifying dependencies, number of work periods, analyzing activity sequences, activity durations, and resource requirements
- Lead the integration and coordination of all projects to create consistent, coherent documentation used to guide both project execution and project control
- Determine the information and communications needed by the stakeholders and ensure needed information is available to project stakeholders in a timely manner
- Collect and disseminate project documentation (e.g. status reporting, progress measurement, and forecasting)
- Assess and implement risk analysis activities and mitigation strategies for the project
- Help coordinate follow up and reviews of safety incidents; coordinate Root Cause Analysis and development of recommendations
- Develop and implement education materials related to safety solutions for patient safety & safety habits
- Support Accreditation preparation, planning and evaluation(s)
