PermanentJob #4665Job #4665– Our client is looking for a well-organized Payroll Administrator to join their tight knit team on a one-year maternity leave contract! The ideal candidate is a quick learner with solid payroll experience and a passion for numbers. In this role you will be responsible for processing payroll as well as jumping in and helping out the accounting team where needed.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the main responsibilities include:
Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employeesCalculate wages, deductions, benefits entitlements and overtimeMaintain employee information and payroll recordsAct as point of contact for payroll related enquiriesEnsure compliance with applicable regulationsAssist with payroll tax filings and reportingReconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepanciesAssist with month-end and year-end close processAssist with other tasks as neededThis is your chance to get your foot in the door of an established organization that offers a great work-life balance in a positive environment – apply now!
Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:
Post-secondary experience in payroll and/or accounting preferredMinimum 2+ years payroll experienceSolid knowledge of payroll regulationsProficient with Microsoft ExcelHigh attention to detail and accuracyExcellent communication and time management skillsDefinite Assets:
