ADay in the Life of an HR Administrative Coordinator
The HR Administrative Coordinator supports the delivery of SCC’s workforce services by providing administrative coordination and support. The role contributes to the provision of core HR services, including recruitment, onboarding, training coordination, performance management, health and safety, wellbeing, and employee records management. Working closely with HR colleagues and SCC staff, the HR Administrative Coordinator ensures timely and confidential handling of information and assists with the implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
The position applies broad knowledge of HR processes and practical judgment to enable efficient service delivery and compliance management.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience and skills
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR administrative support or coordination.
- Broad knowledge of HR processes, methods, and practices, with HR certification (e.g., CHRP or equivalent) is considered desirable.
- Working knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (e.g., Canada Labour Code, Employment Standards Act, Official Languages Act, Human Rights Act).
- Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in HR practices.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing requirements.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, reporting, and documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and HR platforms, preferably Dayforce.
