Under the supervision of the Manager of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Specialist will co-create recruitment and selection strategies tailored to operational needs and industry trends. Candidates will utilize the Talent Acquisition Management System and advise hiring managers on effective practices while ensuring compliance with policies and employment equity. This position supports the Council’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement recruitment and selection strategies
• Consult with hiring managers to fulfill staffing needs
• Advise on employment policies and collective agreements
• Collaborate with HR partners for service excellence
• Revise and maintain Talent Acquisition policies and tools
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Human Resources or related field
• Minimum of three years in Human Resource Management
• Five years' experience in recruitment or HR
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients
• Knowledge of talent acquisition principles in a unionized context
