Temporary position: until December 2026
Full-time – Salary: CA $40,000.00 – CA $42,000.00 per year.

The Laboratory IT Support Technician is responsible for maintaining the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) configuration and supporting day-to-day laboratory IT needs. The role includes creating analytical packages, custom test lists, updating regulatory guidelines within LIMS, troubleshooting hardware & software issues, and supporting special IT projects to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

• Maintain and update LIMS configurations, including analytical packages, custom test lists, and regulatory guidelines.
• Assist users in troubleshooting IT issues (printer connectivity, remote connections, network problems).
• Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff.
• Collaborate with IT and laboratory teams to integrate LIMS with other systems and workflows.
• Participate in system validation, upgrades, and documentation processes.
• Install and configure new workstations for laboratory and office environments.
• Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
• Provide support for special IT projects and initiatives as assigned.

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Laboratory Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Knowledge of LIMS or other data management software is an asset.
• Strong computer literacy and comfort with database systems.
• Quick learner with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non‑technical teams.
• Familiarity with laboratory workflows and terminology preferred.
• Preferred experience or knowledge in LIMS and/or chemistry.
