About the team

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team owns the delivery, operation, and monitoring of Kinaxis products and cloud infrastructure, ensuring services remain reliable, performant, and available for global customers 24/7. We build and operate automation at scale using infrastructure-as-code, deployment pipelines, and tools such as Terraform, Git Hub Actions, ArgoCD, and Ansible.

As a Cloud Engineer II, you will support the reliability and operational efficiency of the Kinaxis SaaS platform by building, deploying, and maintaining production systems. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with Product, Security, Platform, and Support teams, contribute to automation initiatives, and participate in incident response and continuous improvement efforts to enhance system stability and performance.

Responsibilities
  • Support the operation of production systems to meet SLA targets and maintain service availability for customer workloads.
  • Contribute to automation across multiple environments (Azure, GCP, and datacenters), including infrastructure as code (Terraform), deployment pipelines (Git Hub Actions, ArgoCD), and scripting (Python, Bash, Power Shell, Ansible).
  • Assist in managing the lifecycle of production and Hands-on Lab (HOL) environments, including deployment, resource management, and troubleshooting.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation, working with the team to investigate and resolve incidents.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues, escalating and collaborating as needed to resolve problems effectively.
  • Work closely with Product, Platform, and Support teams to support the operation and stability of services in production.
  • Learn from and collaborate with senior engineers, contributing to team knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in development, operations, or cloud engineering environments.
  • 2–4 years of experience supporting production systems in cloud environments (GCP, Azure, or AWS).
  • Familiarity with:
    • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
    • CI/CD and deployment pipelines (Git Hub Actions, ArgoCD)
    • Scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Power Shell)
  • Basic understanding of:
    • Cloud platforms and services
    • Containers and orchestration (Kubernetes is a plus)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and take ownership of assigned work.
