Security Operations Engineer at Jane

Elevate security efforts at Jane as a Security Operations Engineer. This role requires expertise in incident response, threat detection, and cloud security to strengthen our security posture.
As an L2 Security Operations Engineer, you will independently manage key operational tasks while closely collaborating with Enterprise and Cloud Security teams. You'll drive improvements through AI and automation to minimize operational toil and foster relationships across engineering teams. Your efforts will facilitate quick incident response, ensuring accurate documentation and alert triage to encourage open communication and problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Minimize operational toil using AI and automation in workflows

• Foster trust across teams through clear communication

• Own alert triage and manage incident response accurately

• Maintain security tool configurations effectively

• Collaborate in incident response and manage on-call shifts
Requirements:

• 2-4 years in security operations or incident response

• Experience writing detection rules and investigating alerts

• Strong understanding of attack patterns and incident response

• Basic cloud security knowledge in AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
