Position: System Administrator to support an enterprise infrastructure environment with a focus on Unix/Linux systems
Our valued client is seeking a System Administrator to support, automate, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments, with a strong focus on Unix/Linux systems, infrastructure automation, cloud platforms, and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities:
Build, configure, administer, and support Unix/Linux environments (including enterprise Linux distributions).Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure automation solutions using Ansible to ensure consistency, scalability, and reliability.Support containerized platforms, including Kubernetes
, for deployment, orchestration, and lifecycle management of applications.Administer and support cloud-based infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS), integrating automation and configuration management best practices.Support and maintain enterprise systems on IBM Z, ensuring availability, performance, and compliance with operational standards.Develop and maintain technical design, build, and operational documentation for infrastructure and automation solutions.Monitor system health, performance, logs, and alerts; proactively identify and resolve issues.Apply operating system patches, upgrades, and configuration changes to minimize availability and performance risks.Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and vendors to resolve incidents, implement changes, and improve infrastructure resilience.Must have:
7+ years of experience as a System Administrator in enterprise environments.Strong experience administering Unix/Linux systems
.Hands-on experience with Ansible and infrastructure automation
.Experience supporting Kubernetes and containerized workloads.Experience working with cloud infrastructure
.Scripting experience (e.g.,
Shell, Python
).Secret Clearance
Hybrid - On site for the first 3 months then possibility of being remote.
