As a Robotics Automation Success Technician

This Automation Success Technician position will be based out of Ottawa, CA. From presale demonstrations through postdeployment hypercare and customer training, you will own the technical execution across the full robot lifecycle. Your work directly enables customer confidence, accelerates adoption, and drives autonomous usage through disciplined, standardized demo, pilot, and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the dedicated Field Asset/Robotics Expert to support all pre‑sale activities, including demos, pilots, events, and to execute demo qualification and site assessment activities to accelerate the sales cycle and improve demo success rate.
  • Oversee and execute the installation and configuration of robotics products at customer sites, including programming and executing the initial first‑route mapping.
  • Provide comprehensive operational training and support to end‑users on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems, ensuring full utilization of robotics solutions.
  • Provide comprehensive operational training and support to internal TNC Sales & Service Teams on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems, ensuring team competency.
  • When triggered by Biz Dev or sales teams, reach out to specific users and customers to help create and sustain usage of the units; collaborate with the Customer Success Team to monitor utilization trends and execute strategies to maximize autonomous usage.
  • Act as the first line of defense for issue resolution immediately following deployment during the hyper‑care period, troubleshooting and resolving deployment‑related issues to minimize customer disruption.
  • Dominate the robot portfolio and the technology; possess knowledge of cleaning and chemicals, pads, brushes, etc., to guide customers for optimal use; maintain understanding of regular TNC cleaning units.
  • Collaborate with local Commercial and Industrial Account Managers, Strategic Account Managers, Biz Dev, and the Customer Success team to ensure seamless customer engagement and deployment handoffs.
  • Engage in fundamental sales activities to expand knowledge of potential customers, including assessment, discovery, and understanding of the customer landscape and incumbents.
Qualifications & Competencies
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Business Administration, or a related technical field.
  • Technical and field experience in robotics, automation, or industrial equipment, with practical skills in product demonstration, installation, and user training.
  • Strong technical knowledge and practical skills for complex demo/deploy activities.
  • Proven ability to achieve commitments and drive tasks such as deployment and usage goals to successful completion.
  • Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer‑centric solutions throughout the technical phases of the customer journey.

Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $69,300 – $92,401. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith;
Tennant Sales and Service Co. reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualifications of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Benefits.
