Legal Applications Analyst

ROLE

The Legal Applications Analyst provides advanced technical support for a portfolio of legal applications, including matter and transaction management, document automation, contract lifecycle management, legal AI tools, workflow enablement, electronic signature solutions, and related security and functional standards.

The analyst evaluates and onboard new application capabilities, performs technical due diligence, and engages with internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure applications meet business needs and maintain reliability.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains day‑to‑day operations of assigned applications.
  • Configures applications to operate optimally in alignment with business and technical requirements.
  • Provides advanced technical support (Level 2 and 3) by responding to escalated incidents and service requests.
  • Performs technical implementations and onboarding of new applications.
  • Conducts ongoing technical maintenance (e.g., certificate updates).
  • Runs technical due diligence when evaluating new applications or enhancements.
  • Engages with internal stakeholders and vendors to support evaluation and onboarding.
  • Maintains accurate application and service records within the service catalog.
  • Monitors usage and license tracking in line with agreements.
  • Assists with vendor management activities (support, procurement, renewals, relationship management).
  • Ensures required security features and configuration standards are implemented and maintained.
  • Provides feedback and input for functional support and training.
  • Monitors the legal technology landscape for emerging trends.
  • Follows business technology change management and incident management processes.
  • Produces and maintains procedural and technical documentation.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication;
    French communication a plus.
  • Highly self‑motivated with a disciplined, accurate, and detail‑focused approach.
  • Demonstrated customer/client‑facing skills.
  • Professional interaction at all levels within the firm.
  • Ability to translate business needs into appropriate technical solutions.
  • Initiative and proactive problem‑solving with creative thinking.
  • Strong analytical skills and thorough documentation practices.
  • Capacity to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and follow through operationally.
  • Continuous evaluation of emerging technologies.
  • Calm under pressure and quick recovery from setbacks.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of practical experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
  • Proven advanced support experience with legal applications such as matter and transaction management, document automation, contract lifecycle management, legal AI tools, workflow enablement, and electronic signature solutions.
BENEFITS & COMPENSATION

Target salary range: $90,000 – $100,000.
