Babcock Technology Manager

Lead technology initiatives with Babcock as a Technology Manager in Victoria, BC, Ottawa, ON, or Halifax, NS. This role requires strong project management skills and offers a permanent position.
As a Technology Manager, you will be crucial to both Canadian Engineering and Babcock’s Global Technology Team. Your responsibilities will include researching technology trends, managing projects, and developing strategic relationships with Small-to-Medium Businesses. The position emphasizes collaboration across global offices to enhance defense capabilities and necessitates a deep understanding of the technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement technology strategies supporting business operations

• Manage technology program and project delivery using agile methodologies

• Establish relationships with SMB partners to enhance global interactions

• Conduct technical analysis and vendor selection processes

• Lead cross-functional teams in executing projects
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Business Management or Engineering

• PMP certification is an asset

• 10 years of progressive management experience

• 5 years in project management within R&D or engineering

• Familiarity with Canadian ITB Program and Defence Industrial Strategy
