The Lead, Post-Quantum Cryptography Readiness position will oversee the development and implementation of the department's enterprise-wide cryptographic modernization strategy in preparation for emerging quantum-capable cyber threats.
Responsibilities- Conduct a comprehensive cryptographic inventory and exposure assessment, identify systems and technologies at risk, and establish migration requirements aligned with Government of Canada standards and SPIN directives.
- Lead the development of a centralized cryptography governance practice to ensure consistent standards, compliance, and long-term resilience across departmental systems and services.
- Work closely with enterprise architecture, cyber security, infrastructure, application, and operational teams to support the transition toward quantum-resistant security controls while minimizing operational disruption.
- Translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into practical modernization strategies.
- Play a critical role in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, and resilience of sensitive information and operational systems as global cryptographic standards evolve.
- Expertise in enterprise cryptography, security architecture, risk management, and cyber security governance.
