Join our client's team as an experienced Unix/Linux Administrator, managing crucial enterprise infrastructures based in Ottawa. This hybrid role focuses on Solaris 11 and Red Hat Linux environments with strong emphasis on automation and maintenance.
The consultant will play a vital role in system operations, security hardening, and server installations. The position requires participation in the on-call rotation and possibly after-hours support for necessary maintenance tasks. Candidates must be able to travel to the Ottawa office approximately 12 times a month.
Key Responsibilities:
• Administer Solaris 11 and Red Hat Linux environments
• Perform essential OS maintenance and security hardening
• Configure and support server installations
• Utilize Red Hat Satellite for environment management
• Create Ansible playbooks to streamline administrative tasks
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years managing Red Hat Linux 8/9
• 3+ years experience in Solaris 11 administration
• Strong grasp of Ansible Automation
• Proficient in Unix/Linux system admin tasks
• Experience in Dev Ops practices and CI/CD
