Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hyrbid Senior SOC Analyst / IT Security Vulnerability Analysis Specialist for our Federal Governemnt client in Ottawa, ON.

Our client is seeking one senior Security Operations Centre resource to provide SOC monitoring and incident triage services. The resource must have strong hands‑on Tier 1 SOC experience, including alert triage, threat monitoring, SIEM investigation, security log analysis, incident identification, escalation, and documentation.

• Minimum 5 cumulative years performing work similar to SOC monitoring, incident triage, and security operations.
• Bachelor’s degree in cyber security, computer science, IT, or related field plus 5 years Tier 1 SOC experience; or
• Post‑secondary diploma/certificate in cyber security, IT, computer science, engineering technology, or related field plus 5 years Tier 1 SOC experience; or
• 10 years Tier 1 SOC experience without relying on education.
• Minimum 5 years in the last 15 years performing alert triage, threat monitoring, and initial security incident identification.
• Minimum 5 years in the last 15 years using SIEM platforms to monitor, investigate, correlate, and alert on security events.
• Minimum 5 years in the last 15 years analyzing security logs from Windows, Linux, firewalls, IDS/IPS, cloud platforms, or similar sources.
• Minimum 5 years in the last 15 years communicating with technical teams or support groups in a security or IT environment.
• Minimum 5 years in the last 15 years developing or maintaining SOPs, security playbooks, incident documentation, incident reports, tickets, or incident management records.

Best-fit candidates will have 10–15+ years in the following areas:

• Alert triage and initial incident identification
• SIEM monitoring and investigation
• Security log analysis
• SOC communications and escalation
• SOPs, playbooks, incident tickets, and documentation

Salary Range: $55.00 – $85.00 per hour
