Responsibilities
  • Analyze user and technical requirements to determine required features and functionality.
  • Design, engineer, integrate, test, deploy and maintain desktop COTS products and Windows OS solutions.
  • Support desktop integration, packaging practices, standards and application lifecycle methodologies.
  • Identify, troubleshoot and resolve escalated production and non-production desktop issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical and system documentation, including architecture documents, detailed designs and operational procedures.
  • Create build, installation, configuration, support model and Concept of Operations documentation.
  • Prepare scripts, test plans, test scripts, test results, troubleshooting findings, fixes and enhancements.
  • Maintain and support virtual desktop testing environments, including VBOX/Hyper-V DEV, SAT and UAT environments.
  • Maintain and support UAT lab desktop environments.
  • Contribute to project meetings, planning activities, estimates, demos and stakeholder working sessions.
  • Collaborate with team leads, project managers, application designers, developers, integrators, packagers and testers.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of professional work experience as a Technology Architect.
  • 8+ years of professional work experience specializing in corporate Windows desktop operating system environments, including designing, engineering or integrating; testing; implementing, installing or deploying; and supporting or maintaining Windows OS and/or COTS products.
  • 8+ years of professional work experience preparing and developing technical documentation, including architecture documents, Concept of Operations, functional and detailed designs, installation and configuration manuals, test plans, support models and operational procedures.
  • 3+ years of professional work experience scripting using Power Shell V4.x or V5.x.
  • 6+ years of professional work experience resolving complex software installation, integration, co‑existence and conflict issues in a Windows desktop corporate environment.
  • 1+ year of professional work experience in a Windows desktop upgrade project, including design, engineering, integration, issue resolution, documentation and testing for Windows OS and/or COTS products.
  • 4+ years of professional work experience integrating, upgrading and patching desktop COTS software in a Windows desktop corporate environment.
  • 4+ years of professional work experience with Microsoft Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for Windows desktop, including designing, engineering, developing or integrating; documenting detailed designs and installation instructions; testing; and implementing or applying configurations.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience applying IT change management practices and processes.
  • 5+ years of professional work experience preparing and testing package deployments to desktops using Config Man/System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) 2012 or later in a corporate environment.
  • 3+ years of professional work experience designing, engineering, developing or integrating VMWare, Oracle Vbox and/or Hyper‑V in a corporate environment.
  • 6+ months of professional work experience configuring and/or integrating COTS with a Windows desktop in a corporate environment.
