Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Our client is actively searching for a skilled VMware Virtual Infrastructure Specialist to oversee virtualization platforms and support infrastructure modernization. This role allows for a hybrid work model with roughly 12 days on-site in Ottawa each month. Additionally, you will drive disaster recovery planning while being part of an on-call rotation for off-hour support. Focusing on automation will be key to enhancing operational workflows in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer VMware Cloud Foundation and vSphere technologies

• Develop automation solutions using Ansible Tower and Azure Dev Ops

• Conduct environment validation and health checks

• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents to meet SLA targets

• Maintain technical documentation for proper knowledge transfer

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or IT-related field

• 5+ years of supporting VMware environments

• 3+ years experience with Azure IaaS

• Strong scripting skills, especially in Power Shell and Python

• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
