Bilingual UX Designer

Location: Canada (Remote, EST)

Duration: 8-10 months

Language: Bilingual essential (English and French)

• Lead the overall UX design process for a modernized bilingual web platform.
• Conduct user research through interviews, surveys, and usability testing with diverse user groups.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to align goals, constraints, and design principles.
• Perform heuristic evaluations using industry best practices.
• Redesign navigation, information architecture, page layouts, and interfaces.
• Create wireframes, high‑fidelity prototypes, and annotated design specifications.
• Conduct iterative usability and accessibility testing, including bilingual scenarios.
• Develop UX guidelines, content strategy, accessibility checklists, and supporting design documentation.
• Support implementation by producing clear, developer‑ready deliverables and handoff materials.
• Maintain meeting records, action items, version control, and required status updates.
• Provide knowledge transfer, training, a UX Playbook, and templates for ongoing maintenance.

• 5+ years of experience producing UX design for web applications, including wire framing, prototyping, usability testing, and technical documentation that supports implementation and long‑term maintenance
• Experience applying WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards in UX design on at least 2 projects
• Experience developing bilingual (English and French) web applications or interfaces on at least 2 projects
• Experience working in secure environments involving protected or classified information and compliance with recognized security and privacy standards
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing with diverse user groups and bilingual participants
• Experience designing inclusive user experiences and producing high‑fidelity interactive prototypes using modern prototyping tools, including Figma and Adobe XD
• Experience collaborating in agile, multidisciplinary teams
• Experience engaging stakeholders, including users, business owners, and technical teams
• Experience implementing UX designs into fully functional web solutions
• Experience applying branding standards in UX/UI design
• Post‑secondary education from a recognized institution in a relevant field
