Position: Communications Distribution Architect Role
Elevate network infrastructure design as the Communications Distribution Designer at the House of Commons. This role focuses on cabling design, network security, and cutting-edge technology integration.

The House of Commons Administration seeks a skilled Communications Distribution Designer within its Digital Services and Real Property team. You will craft strategies for cabling, internet telephony, and optical networks while ensuring compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with stakeholders and provide expert recommendations on project goals and requirements throughout the lifecycle of new builds and renovations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise on best practices for network infrastructure design

• Research emerging technologies and best practices

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements

• Ensure compliance with House of Commons policies

• Provide technical expertise to senior stakeholders

Requirements:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field

• RCDD certification required

• Minimum 5 years of cabling design experience

• Proven ability in requirements gathering and analysis

• Knowledge of IT capacity management and disaster recovery
