Network Operations Specialist

Position: Network Operations Specialist at ORBCOMM
Become a crucial part of ORBCOMM as a Network Operations Specialist. Leverage your expertise in RF systems and networking to enhance satellite services in a dynamic environment.

Based in Ottawa, ON, this role requires hands-on experience in IoT and satellite performance monitoring. You will support ground station equipment globally while also performing RF diagnostics and managing networks. This is an on-call role requiring effective problem-solving skills and collaboration with engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor satellite beam performance using Grafana and proprietary tools

• Provide second-line support as part of a 24/7 rotating team

• Install and configure RF hardware and systems

• Execute MySQL queries and database coordination

• Oversee satellite terminal monitoring and key metrics tracking

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of experience in RF systems or networking

• Diploma or degree in a related field

• Hands-on RF testing experience

• Proficiency in Linux shell commands

• Strong communication skills and problem-solving ability
