Senior IT Security Specialist

Shape the future of IT security with the Department of National Defence in Ottawa, ON. As a Senior IT Security Computer Support Specialist, you will troubleshoot, implement complex security, and provide secure system support.

This role demands expertise in IT security technical support, focusing on advanced troubleshooting across enterprise networks and applications. Your contributions will span coordinating technology applications, offering user training, and managing security requirements. You will have a key role in ensuring robust security measures and addressing user challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate emerging technology application specifications

• Serve as liaison among vendors and end-users

• Provide training in emerging technology support

• Reproduce technical problems to assist users

• Recommend and implement advanced security requirements

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

• Minimum 24 months of relevant technical support experience

• Proficiency in complex security controls (IAM, MFA, RBAC)

• Experience supporting secure network environments

• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical users
