Network Lab Deployment Technician

Support the installation, deployment, and maintenance of networking equipment in a lab environment. This role focuses on hardware installation, basic device provisioning, cabling, and preparing test environments for engineering teams.

• Install, rack, cable, and power networking equipment and servers.
• Configure basic device settings (hostnames, user accounts, SSH, IP addressing).
• Build and modify lab network topologies.
• Run deployment scripts and perform basic server provisioning.
• Verify hardware installation, network connectivity, and management access.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware and cabling issues.
• Maintain accurate documentation of equipment, rack layouts, and IP assignments.

• 2‑5 years of experience in a network lab, data center, or hardware deployment environment.
• Strong networking fundamentals (CCNA‑level knowledge).
• Experience with rack and stack, fibre and Ethernet cabling, and basic Linux.
• Experience with Bash/Python scripting or network test equipment is an asset.
