About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full‑time ITIM Services Manager to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure Operations and Delivery team. The IT Infrastructure Operations & Delivery team is responsible for managing and maintaining Canadian Blood Services’ IT infrastructure to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of its technology systems.

In this role, you will lead a team of IT professionals focused on managing and delivering change initiatives within IT infrastructure. You will guide projects from planning through execution, ensuring they meet quality, regulatory, and client expectations. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise with team leadership, and who is motivated to improve processes and deliver reliable, high‑quality IT services.

Desired education and skills
  • Post‑secondary education in a relevant field, ideally in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ITIL certification is considered an asset.
  • Strong experience in IT project management, including planning, coordination, and delivery of complex initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and manage technical teams effectively.
  • Solid technical knowledge in IT infrastructure or related areas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage resources, vendors, and priorities while maintaining quality and compliance standards.

  • This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time (2 days of the week).
  • You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
