Please note this role will work in a hybrid environment. The successful candidate will be working a mixture of on‑site and off‑site work to meet the needs of our organization. Currently, employees are expected to have an in‑person presence for at least 40% of their work time.
About the roleCanadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary full‑time ITIM Services Manager to join our dynamic IT Infrastructure Operations and Delivery team. The IT Infrastructure Operations & Delivery team is responsible for managing and maintaining Canadian Blood Services’ IT infrastructure to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of its technology systems.
In this role, you will lead a team of IT professionals focused on managing and delivering change initiatives within IT infrastructure. You will guide projects from planning through execution, ensuring they meet quality, regulatory, and client expectations. This role is well suited to someone who enjoys balancing technical expertise with team leadership, and who is motivated to improve processes and deliver reliable, high‑quality IT services.

- Using your project management expertise, you will plan and coordinate multiple initiatives, keeping timelines on track and addressing issues early to maintain progress.
- By prioritizing initiatives effectively with leadership, you will focus efforts on high‑impact work that meets organizational and client needs.
- Applying your technical knowledge, you will ensure the quality and integrity of solutions, supporting reliable and effective IT service delivery.
- Through strong relationship‑building, you will collaborate with internal client groups and IT teams to understand needs and deliver value‑added solutions.
- Leveraging your attention to compliance and standards, you will ensure all work aligns with regulatory requirements and organizational quality expectations.
- Leveraging your flexibility and adaptability, you will perform other related duties as required.
- Post‑secondary education in a relevant field, ideally in computer science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- ITIL certification is considered an asset.
- Strong experience in IT project management, including planning, coordination, and delivery of complex initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and manage technical teams effectively.
- Solid technical knowledge in IT infrastructure or related areas.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to manage resources, vendors, and priorities while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Annual performance award up to 8%.

- This role will work in a hybrid environment with requirements to be onsite at a Canadian Blood Services location 40% of the time (2 days of the week).
- You will work Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day.
