About the role
Join the Infrastructure and Operations Team in the Specialist, Systems Administrator (IT Infrastructure) position. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and evolving enterprise infrastructure across on‑premises and hybrid environments, helping ensure platforms are secure, reliable, and resilient while driving modernization and operational excellence.
What you will do:
- Support daily operations of enterprise infrastructure platforms, including compute/virtualization, network and voice/video, storage/backup, and databases.
- Monitor infrastructure services and respond to incidents and perform troubleshooting and any other corrective actions to minimize service impact and escalate complex issues as needed.
- Support infrastructure lifecycle and modernization initiatives, including platform upgrades, refreshes, migrations, and data center or cloud‑adjacent transformations.
- Maintain infrastructure security and compliance by applying hardening standards, patching, vulnerability remediation, and supporting audit activities.
- Ensure the reliability of backup and disaster recovery services through ongoing support, testing, and validation.
- Contribute to automation and operational tooling by improving efficiency, reliability, and consistency of infrastructure operations.
- Keep operational documentation and runbooks up to date by conducting post‑implementation checks to confirm service readiness.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams, share technical knowledge, and contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be considered.
- A minimum 5 years of experience in enterprise IT infrastructure or systems administration roles.
- Strong hands‑on experience across multiple infrastructure domains, including virtualization/compute, networking and voice/video, storage and backup, disaster recovery, and database platforms (e.g., MS SQL, DB2, Azure SQL).
- Experience supporting on‑premises and hybrid cloud environments, with an understanding of modern infrastructure operating models.
- Working knowledge of ITSM processes (incident, problem, and change management) and operational support best practices.
- Proficiency in automation and scripting, understanding of deployment automation using Ansible and Teraform.
