About the role

Join the IT Performance and Partnership team, in the Bilingual Specialist, Partner Management position, where we lead our digital transformation to accelerate housing affordability. In this role, you will provide support for the ongoing management of technology partner, third party vendors and partners. You will support the development, management and implementation of processes related to technology partner, vendor management and help to promote a strategic working relationship that is outcome focused.

What

you’ll do
  • Work on the delivery of large technology partner contracts that support CMHC’s integrated business requirements including the onboarding and offboarding activities associated with transitions.
  • Develop, implement and communicate expectations, policies and procedures related to ongoing technology services, as required.
  • Work with Information Technology teams to ensure their day-to-day operations are aligned with CMHC requirements.
  • Ensure that technology products, services and related activities are delivered in accordance with CMHC’s Risk Management Framework to mitigate reputational, financial and operational risk for CMHC.
  • Act as a liaison between IT and third party vendors.
  • Collaborate with other areas of CMHC to ensure partners are effectively managed, contracts are fully leveraged and outcomes are achieved.
  • Track and manage issues with strategic partners, and holds partners accountable for resolving issues.
What you should have
  • An undergraduate degree in Computer science or business administration or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be considered.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience dealing with vendors in the delivery of service within an information technology organization, including contract negotiation, vendor performance reporting, preparation and evaluation of requests for proposals, and relationship management.
  • Advanced analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to develop successful relationships with stakeholders.
  • Financial analysis abilities, and experience conducting research and analysis related to technology vendor management.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence outcomes in both official languages (English and French).
  • The ability to work in a high-activity, fast-paced environment while managing associated stress.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently.
