As a Proposal Writer working in the Proposal & Qualifications team at Pomerleau Construction, you will use your superior writing skills to translate company project experience, technical information and resumes into a professional work of art. Working on large-scale building & infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will collaborate with team members to ensure proposals effectively convey the message and winning theme.

What

You Will Do
  • Play a key a role in determining proposal requirements and reviewing requests (RFP, RFQ, RFI) at the start of each new bid.
  • Get creative and develop persuasive proposal content that is technically correct and in alignment with the proposal strategy.
  • Keep branding top of mind and collaborate with our graphics team to select the perfect images and photos to supplement written content.
  • Create and edit corporate resumes to be included in the proposal.
  • Grow and maintain strong relationships with colleagues, trade partners, consultants and clients to achieve the proposal goals, vision and strategy.
  • Use your proven editorial skills and ensure all content is well-written, persuasive and technically accurate.
  • Celebrate proposal success and completion and be a key member of the proposal close-out process.
This Role Could Be For You
  • 3 to 5 years' of professional writing experience, experience in construction, engineering or architecture considered an asset.
  • A University degree or related industry experience.
  • Strong experience producing proposals and technical reports in construction, engineering or architecture is considered an asset.
  • Solid research skills and ability to dive into the details to extract key information.
