The GIS Analyst position at Equinox Gold requires a dedicated professional to contribute to exploration and mine planning initiatives. You will be responsible for maintaining databases and creating geospatial outputs that drive operational efficiency and support regulatory compliance. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver effective GIS solutions will also be a core part of your role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Update GIS databases and geospatial datasets
• Create maps and dashboards for technical teams
• Conduct spatial analysis for planning and monitoring
• Support integration of GIS with other mine planning systems
• Assist in training users on GIS best practices
Requirements:
• 3+ years of experience in GIS environments
• Familiarity with GIS software, including QGIS
• Background in database systems, particularly SQL
• Experience with remote sensing technologies
• Understanding of geospatial standards and projections
