Elevate your career as a Senior Platform Engineering Specialist with CANARIE, enhancing cloud infrastructure for Canada’s research community. You will lead automation and governance initiatives.
This full-time, permanent position reports to CANARIE’s Manager of Software Development. You will play a vital role in developing scalable platforms that ensure high availability for critical services in cybersecurity and identity management. Your collaboration with Development and IT teams will support effective operational solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and maintain infrastructure for high availability
• Set platform standards aligned with business goals
• Drive scalability and ensure uptime
• Guide and support teams on best practices
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for robust solutions
Requirements:
• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant experience in the field
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD automation
• Building cloud infrastructure expertise (AWS or Azure)
• Skilled in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
