2)

Compensation:
Expected hourly rate of $50-$75 per hour, based on qualifications, experience, security clearance, and final contract pricing.
Join a high-profile federal-sector engagement supporting the development and sustainment of advanced geospatial mapping capabilities and digital aeronautical products.
The successful consultant will work within a specialized GIS environment, supporting geospatial analysis, cartographic production, aeronautical mapping, data transformation, and the development of production workflows that support mission-critical operations.
Responsibilities- Analyze and document geospatial system requirements and workflows.
- Design, develop, and maintain GIS databases, data structures, and mapping products.
- Perform GIS analysis, cartographic production, and geospatial data modelling.
- Design and implement digital aeronautical charts and mapping products.
- Transform and integrate geospatial data from multiple sources into production workflows.
- Create and maintain ISO 19115-compliant metadata.
- Develop technical documentation, production procedures, and product specifications.
- Provide technical support and geospatial expertise to project teams and stakeholders.
- Support testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of geospatial products.
M1
Minimum 60 months of experience within the last 96 months working with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
M2
Minimum 36 months of experience within the last 60 months using ESRI ArcGIS Pro (v2.x or v3.x).
M3
Minimum 24 months of experience within the last 96 months using Map Link Studio Professional.
M4
Minimum 60 months of experience within the last 96 months using FME Desktop.
M5
Minimum 24 months of experience within the last 96 months using the Portable Flight Planning System (PFPS).
M6
Minimum 36 months of experience within the last 72 months working with aeronautical datasets, including DAFIF, AAFIF, and DVOF/TFADS-O.
M7
Must hold an active Government of Canada Secret Security Clearance.
Experience with any of the following would be considered an asset:
- Developing aircraft digital map display specifications.
- Supporting digital mapping products for military aviation platforms.
- Producing mapping outputs for Fore Flight.
- Military or aeronautical cartographic production environments.
