About The Opportunity
Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Advisor to provide strategic guidance and executive-level project management expertise in support of a large-scale enterprise wireless modernization initiative. This position will support senior leadership by providing advice, governance, stakeholder engagement, and project oversight throughout the planning and implementation of a complex enterprise technology program. The successful consultant will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and senior executives to ensure project objectives are achieved while supporting organizational priorities.
Duties- Provide strategic advice and recommendations to senior leadership on enterprise technology initiatives
- Lead and coordinate project planning activities for complex Government of Canada IT projects
- Develop executive briefings, presentations, reports, and status updates
- Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
- Support project governance, decision making, and executive committees
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations
- Monitor project progress and recommend corrective actions where necessary
- Ensure project activities align with departmental priorities and Government of Canada policies and processes
- Perform additional advisory and project management duties as required
- A university degree or combination of education, training, and relevant experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience supporting large-scale Government of Canada projects valued at over $20 million
- A minimum of 10 years of experience working within Government of Canada culture and processes
- Extensive experience providing strategic advice to senior executives
- Demonstrated experience managing or advising enterprise technology initiatives within the federal government
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills
- Experience preparing executive briefings, reports, and presentations
- Knowledge of Government of Canada governance and project management practices
- Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Agile, or equivalent are considered assets
- English Essential with advanced oral, reading, and writing proficiency
- Have a valid Reliability Level security clearance
