Provides expert advice and support on the administration of the Access to Information Act, the Privacy Act, and information management practices. The role ensures compliance with legislative requirements while supporting effective records management, information governance, and information access across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate Access to Information Act and Privacy Act requirements.
• Provide advice and guidance on recordkeeping policies, regulations, and legal requirements.
• Manage information throughout its lifecycle, including collection, storage, use, preservation, and disposition.
• Develop, organize, and maintain records management and information governance processes.
• Coordinate information storage requirements and liaise with Information Technology teams.
• Conduct archival and records-based research and prepare professional reports.
• Identify, classify, archive, preserve, and destroy records in accordance with established requirements.
• Establish and implement metadata standards and information classification structures.
• Analyze and report on the effectiveness of information management practices and standards.
• Identify content management issues and recommend process improvements.
• Develop business requirements documentation related to information management initiatives.
• Support the monitoring and evaluation of recordkeeping policies and regulations.
