IT & Security Specialist

As an IT & Security Specialist at Senstar, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding our information systems and ensuring the integrity of our security protocols. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining security measures that protect our digital assets and infrastructure.

• Develop and implement comprehensive IT security policies and procedures to protect organizational data and systems from unauthorized access and cyber threats.
• Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential security breaches and respond promptly to incidents.
• Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to evaluate the effectiveness of existing security measures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure that all hardware and software are configured securely and comply with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide training and guidance to staff on security best practices and the importance of maintaining a secure working environment.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to proactively address emerging risks.
• Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the organization can respond effectively to incidents.
• Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, assessments, and recommendations for management and stakeholders.
• Liaise with external vendors and partners to evaluate and implement security solutions that align with organizational needs.
• Participate in security audits and compliance assessments to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Support the incident response team in investigating security breaches and implementing corrective actions.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall security framework of the organization.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security or a related role, with a proven track record of managing security incidents and implementing security measures.
• Strong understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
• Experience with network security protocols and practices, including VPNs, encryption, and secure network architecture.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS, and the ability to ensure compliance within the organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
• Experience with cloud security and securing cloud-based applications and services.
• Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Power Shell) for automating security tasks.
• Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and incident response methodologies.
