Senior Juniper Network Specialist ​/ Architect

Arobas Personnel is seeking a Senior Juniper Network Specialist / Architect for a strategic mandate based in Ottawa. This role will play a critical part in the design, validation, and deployment of a nationwide IP network modernization initiative.

• 100% ON SITE IN OTTAWA***

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in Juniper technologies, particularly Juniper CTP, and will contribute to the development of a secure, scalable, and resilient network infrastructure. Professionals with equivalent experience in legacy TDM circuit emulation technologies, such as Nokia 7705 SAR, are also encouraged to apply.

• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of a new Juniper-based Test Lab in Ottawa.
• Support the physical installation and integration of laboratory and network equipment.
• Develop and document the production network architecture for a large-scale national rollout across Canada.
• Provide technical leadership and strategic recommendations on IP-based network modernization initiatives.
• Configure, optimize, and support Juniper CTP (including CTP View 51) and related monitoring solutions.
• Advise stakeholders on the effective use of CTP technologies during national deployment activities.
• Mentor internal technical teams and transfer knowledge on Juniper technologies and best practices.
• Assist in validating technical requirements and selecting appropriate networking equipment and solutions.

• Data analytics, reporting, and operational insights

• Support the design and implementation of highly available network infrastructures.
• Ensure operational continuity and network resilience for 24/7/365 mission-critical environments.
• Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives.

• Proof of Concept (PoC) validation
• System testing and integration
• Security and operational readiness assessments
• Failure prevention and risk mitigation
• Network validation prior to production deployment

• Extensive hands-on experience with Juniper networking hardware and software.
• Strong knowledge of Juniper CTP and associated monitoring tools.
• Experience with legacy network circuit emulation technologies or equivalent vendor solutions.
• Proven track record designing and implementing complex enterprise or large-scale network infrastructures.
• Excellent troubleshooting, architecture, and network optimization skills.

• Experience supporting government, public sector, or defence network modernization projects.
• Knowledge of telephony systems and communications infrastructure integration.
• Experience with alternative circuit emulation platforms such as Nokia 7705 SAR or similar technologies.
