We are currently looking for two (2) IFS Assyst Implementation / Integration Specialists to support a federal defence-sector initiative in the National Capital Region.

This is a 24-week contract starting as soon as possible (end of September or later).

The successful resources will support the development, enhancement, maintenance, and ongoing operation of a large-scale IT Service Management (ITSM) environment, including Configuration Management Database (CMDB) capabilities, service management modernization initiatives, system integrations, and application lifecycle support within classified environments.

The project supports a mission-critical communications and operations environment within the Canadian defence sector.

The existing solution is built on IFS Assyst v11.3 and incorporates multiple integrated technologies, including:

• IFS Assyst IT Service Management (ITSM)
• BIRT reporting
• XML/PDF forms
• Kerberos-based authentication
• Custom integrations and administration tools

The team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing both designated and classified environments while supporting ongoing service improvements, approved system enhancements, infrastructure modernization initiatives, and future ITSM platform transition activities.

The resource will:

• Work primarily on-site within a secure federal facility in Ottawa West
• Support both designated and classified (SECRET) environments
• Collaborate closely with application managers, technical teams, business stakeholders, and ITSM support personnel
• Participate in release planning, integration activities, testing, deployment, documentation, and knowledge transfer activities

• Design, configure, build, document, test, and release IFS Assyst solutions and enhancements
• Support integration activities between IFS Assyst and enterprise systems
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including:
• Interface specifications
• Build documentation
• Operational procedures
• Release documentation
• Support CMDB implementation, administration, and data migration activities
• Plan and execute major and minor software releases
• Support application maintenance and in-service support activities
• Perform business and systems analysis related to ITSM processes
• Analyze business requirements and recommend ITSM solutions
• Develop process improvements and implementation action plans
• Conduct impact assessments for technology changes
• Support database optimization, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring
• Participate in service modernization and IT service improvement initiatives
• Assist with migration activities to future ITSM platforms
• Deliver knowledge transfer, training sessions, briefings, and technical workshops as required

Must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years as an Implementation / Integration Specialist, including experience in all of the following:

• Authoring and maintaining project documentation
• Planning and implementing software systems
• Managing IT Service Management (ITSM) data integrations

Must demonstrate a minimum of five (5) years of experience within the last ten (10) years designing, configuring, building, documenting, and releasing Axios Assyst / IFS Assyst
.

Experience must have been gained within a large-scale, complex environment supporting more than 50,000 users
.

Must currently hold an active Government of Canada SECRET security clearance
.

• Systems analysis
• Database administration and optimization
