Data Advisor at ITK

Elevate Inuit data governance with ITK as a Data Advisor based in Ottawa, Ontario. This in-office role focuses on data policy development and enhancing access to data.

As a Data Advisor at ITK, you will assist in improving Inuit access to governance and ownership of data. Reporting to the Manager of Research, you’re responsible for defining, assessing, and advising on data policies across various ITK departments, facilitating workshops, and engaging with regional organizations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage research and data project plans

• Monitor implementation of the National Inuit Data Strategy

• Conduct analysis and write reports for data initiatives

• Build relationships with Inuit organizations and stakeholders

• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Information Management or similar discipline

• Minimum of three years' experience in data analysis

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Knowledge of data governance protocols a must

• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences
