SAP Cloud Lifecycle Management; Cloud ALM Solution Assessment Consultant

Our Ontario based client is seeking an experienced SAP Cloud Application Lifecycle Management (Cloud ALM ) & Solution Assessment Consultant to join their project in September 2026 and will run for 14 weeks, with possibility of an extension. The ideal candidate should have 10+ year ALM consultant with 3+ SAP implementations, who has successfully evaluated and selected competing ALM tools (SAP Cloud ALM, Service Now, Jira, Azure Dev Ops) for large Government of Canada projects and must be comfortable leading options analysis, costing, and interim migration planning for a high-visibility GoC initiative.

This will be a hybrid role with the exact amount of on-site scheduled days to be confirmed.

Key Responsibility:

• Perform a structured options analysis comparing SAP Cloud ALM against two other leading ALM solutions (e.g., Service Now, Azure Dev Ops, Jira/Atlassian, IBM ELM, Digital.ai).
• Map vendor capabilities against key requirements identified in client workshops.
• Evaluate tools on functional fit, SAP integration, scalability, licensing, and total cost of ownership.
• Develop an evidence-based recommendation and present it to client governance for approval.
• Facilitate collaborative workshops with stakeholders to elicit and prioritize ALM requirements.
• Translate business and technical needs into capability-based requirements for vendor scoring.
• Ensure ALM strategy aligns with broader project implementation goals.
• Develop a detailed timeline and cost estimate for implementing the recommended ALM solution.
• Include licensing, infrastructure, configuration, integration, testing, training, and change management costs.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and critical path items impacting project schedule.
• Assess if the recommended solution fits within project timelines.
• Develop a pragmatic interim plan using lightweight tools or manual processes if timeline is too tight.
• Define a clear migration roadmap from interim state to the final target solution with zero disruption.
• Work alongside Senior Manager as a trusted advisor—not a staff-augmentation resource.
• Own the bulk of deliverable work, including documentation, presentations, and governance materials.
• Provide expert guidance on SAP Activate and SAP delivery methodologies.
• Advise on ITIL/ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, release, service level management).
• Prepare and deliver executive-level presentations to client governance boards
• Translate technical ALM concepts into business value for non-technical decision-makers.
• Document all findings in a clear, auditable format suitable for GoC environment.
• Operate within Enhanced Reliability clearance and GoC security protocols.
• Ensure recommendations meet GoC procurement, privacy, and security standards.
• Leverage prior Canadian Federal Government experience to navigate client-specific processes.
