About the role
Join the IT Performance and Partnership team, in the Specialist, IT Financial & Capacity Management position. You will support the planning, analyzing, and optimization of IT workforce capacity, budgets, and resource utilization to ensure that the organization has the right skills, talent, and financial allocations at the right time.
The role integrates IT financial management, budget planning, resource capacity modelling, workforce analytics, and workforce insights to support organizational priorities and enable effective execution of the IT strategy.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct workforce and IT capacity assessments, analyzing supply vs. demand, utilization trends, and future workload forecasts.
- Be responsible for the planning, monitoring, analysis, and reporting of all IT financial resources.
- Provide comprehensive oversight of the IT operating and capital and operating budgets, ensure financial performance against approved targets, and delivers analysis of IT cost drivers, trends, and risks.
- Coordinate and supports the development of the annual IT operating and capital budgets, consolidating inputs across IT functions.
- Conduct monthly and quarterly budget monitoring for all IT cost centres, including labour, software, hardware, cloud services, maintenance, telecom, security, and project expenditures.
- Analyze IT cost structures to identify key cost drivers across labour, licensing, infrastructure, cloud consumption, cybersecurity, and vendor services.
What you should have:
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Human Resources, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience can be considered.
- A minimum of 5 years in financial budget management and analysis and/or workforce planning, capacity management, or related analytical roles.
- Experience in organizational development, engagement, or planning tools preferred.
- An understanding of IT functions, roles, capabilities, and operating models.
- The ability to influence and partner with IT leadership, HR, and Finance.
- Skills in interpreting complex workforce and financial data for senior audiences.
- The ability to navigate sensitive workforce and performance situations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, facilitation, and communication skills.
