Position: Senior IT Specialist (10+ years) to manage and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes

Our Telecommunications client is seeking a Senior IT Specialist (10+ years) to manage and optimize containerized applications using Kubernetes

Join a high-impact infrastructure initiative within a Telecom technology environment focusing on scalable container orchestration and automation. The role oversees end-to-end deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of Kubernetes clusters across cloud and on-prem platforms. This is a dynamic opportunity to influence infrastructure reliability and modernization at scale.

Contract, Ottawa, Hybrid (4 days per week onsite)

Must Haves

  • Proven experience with Kubernetes deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting across cloud and on-prem environments
  • Strong expertise in container orchestration using Docker and scripting with Python or Power Shell for automation
  • Three years of experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and CI/CD integration
  • Solid understanding of bare-metal infrastructure and cloud systems management

    • Nice to Have

  • CNCF Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
  • Microsoft Certified:
    Dev Ops Engineer Expert

    • Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters across multiple environments
  • Monitor, optimize, and tune containerized application performance
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment
  • Troubleshoot Kubernetes and container orchestration issues
  • Collaborate with development teams to design scalable application architectures
  • Ensure security and compliance across Kubernetes deployments
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or Ansible
  • Conduct regular system audits and performance improvements
  • Maintain documentation for Kubernetes environments and processes
  • Stay current with Kubernetes advancements to continuously improve platform stability
