About the role

Join the Analytics & Strategic Insights team, in the Senior Specialist, Analytics position. In this role, you will help turn data into meaningful insights that support business decisions, improve reporting, and identify risks and opportunities. You will be responsible for overseeing key business reports, ensuring data quality and accuracy, and providing analysis that helps leaders make informed decisions. Working with teams across the organization, you will strengthen reporting processes, improve data governance practices, and support strategic initiatives.

This is a temporary position with a duration of 13 months

What you'll do:
  • Lead the development, enhancement, and governance of business reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Ensure key reports are accurate, timely, and reliable for senior leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Monitor business performance and risk indicators, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities.
  • Improve data quality, reporting processes, and analytics tools to support business needs.
  • Provide insights and recommendations that support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in reporting governance, data quality, and analytics best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Operations, Data Management, and Business teams.
  • Support executive and regulatory reporting requirements through review, validation, and quality assurance.
What you should have:
  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 7 years of experience in analytics, reporting, business intelligence, risk management, data governance, or a related field.
  • Experience developing and maintaining reporting solutions that support business performance and decision-making.
  • A strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and reporting best practices.
  • Experience working with large datasets and tools such as SQL, Python, Power BI, SAS, or similar technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex information into practical recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives in a collaborative environment.
It would be great if you also had:
  • Experience in mortgage loan insurance (MLI), mortgage finance, regulatory reporting, lending, risk management, or financial services.
  • Knowledge of risk reporting, key risk indicators, or regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting executive or Board-level reporting.
  • A familiarity with data governance frameworks and enterprise reporting environments.
