Summary of responsibilities:The Data Engineer is responsible for analyzing, developing, implementing, and supporting CATSA’s business data solutions such as data engineering, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) development, Power platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) development, Artificial Intelligence (AIOps)/Machine Learning (MLOps) Operations. The Data Engineer performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:- Design and create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to provide data-driven insights and facilitate decision-making.
- Develop custom applications using Power Apps to meet specific business requirements.
- Automate business workflows using Power Automate to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual tasks.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines support data integration, processing, and analytics.
- Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to ensure data quality and reliability across multiple data sources.
To qualify for the position, you must have:
- Graduation from a recognized university with a specialization in Computer Science, Information Technology/Management, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of three years (3) of experience with advanced Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Minimum three years (3) of experience in development using Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- A minimum two years (2) of experience using ETL/data engineering tools (e.g., Microsoft SSIS, IBM Data Stage, Informatica, Azure data factory, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse etc.) for the creation and implementation of data marts, data lakes.
- Strong client service orientation.
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing; ability to tailor communications to suit the audience.

- Ability to understand client needs and articulate solutions.
