Senior DbIMS Database Administrator

Lead Db2 for z/OS and IMS database administration remotely in Canada, applying performance tuning, recovery, and production support expertise.
DXC Technology seeks a database administrator with at least 10 years of hands-on Db2 for z/OS and IMS DB/DC experience. You will support business-critical production and data-sharing environments. The work includes database maintenance, monitoring, tuning, recovery, and application DBA support.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer and support Db2 and IMS production databases
- Monitor health, performance, storage utilization, and availability
- Execute REORG, RUNSTATS, LOAD, and UNLOAD utilities
- Troubleshoot incidents and perform root-cause analysis
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery exercises
- Minimum 10 years of Db2 and IMS experience
- Strong IBM Db2 for z/OS administration expertise
- Strong IBM IMS DB administration experience
- Knowledge of SQL, JCL, and TSO/ISPF
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency authorization
