PI Advisor

About the Role

We are looking for a Personal Insurance Advisor to join our growing team. The role involves serving ongoing client needs, advising on insurance matters, conducting needs assessments, recommending solutions, answering inquiries, processing renewals, selling new policies, retaining existing book, quoting new business through outbound initiatives, interacting with underwriters, preparing documentation, keeping up-to-date on underwriting rules, participating in training, community marketing, handling account receivable activities, and providing guidance as needed.

• Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessment, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, conduct care calls and process renewals.
• Sell new policies/write new business to existing or new clients, retain existing book of business.
• Quote new business through outbound call initiatives, introductory letters and receive walk-in clients.
• Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy.
• Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes and review renewals.
• Keep current on underwriting rules and workflow processes.
• Actively participate in training initiatives.
• Participate in community marketing initiatives.
• Process Account Receivable activities.
• Provide guidance and assistance as requested.

• High School and/or Post-Secondary Education.
• Minimum 1‑year Personal Insurance experience preferred.
• Exposure to Epic is an asset.
• Strong customer focus.
• Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Salary range: $47,100 – $57,500 (based on a 35‑hour week). Salary determined by experience, skills, qualifications, contribution, equity, location, etc.
• Incentive plan:
  Commission and other performance incentives, expected payout potential of 10‑15% of salary (subject to personal and team performance).
