Under the supervision of the Team Lead, Translation, the Translator-Reviser translates and revises documents, from English to French, in accordance with industry standards and CIHI terminology and policies. He or she ensures the quality of a variety of texts intended for a wide audience (such as newsletters, press releases, corporate publications, technical reports and Web pages) produced by internal and external translators.
The Translator-Reviser plays a crucial role in promoting CIHI’s French standards and acts as a key resource for his or her peers within CIHI when it comes to French language.
- Degree in translation from a recognized university or in a language-related field.
- Minimum of five years of translation experience and three years of revision experience. A combination of internal translation or revision functions and language expertise will also be considered.
- Excellent knowledge of both official languages.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to carry out research in order to resolve translation problems.
- Experience in use of Microsoft Office applications and translation and terminology management tools.
