Support newcomer integration as a Bilingual Information and Referral Specialist at YMCA in the National Capital Region. This full-time contract offers community engagement and essential service provision.
Your role will include conducting needs assessments and delivering appropriate resource referrals to assist immigrants in their settlement journey. Utilizing your bilingual skills, you will respond to client inquiries professionally and culturally sensitively, all while maintaining vital administrative functions and community event coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess client needs and recommend services
• Provide information on settlement resources
• Track and report service data accurately
• Coordinate and conduct orientation workshops
• Cover reception and assist with appointment management
Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education
• Fluent in both English and French
• Knowledge of immigrant settlement programs
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
• Valid work authorization in Canada
