In this pivotal role with CIHI, your expertise in translation will enhance Canada's health care systems. Drawing on 3-5 years of experience, you will ensure idiomatic French translations and provide quality control on work from others. Your mentoring will support junior translators, while your ability to consult with subject matter experts will address translation queries effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Translate diverse documents with minimal supervision
• Review translations for clarity, grammar, and accuracy
• Conduct research on French language issues
• Maintain and update bilingual terminology databases
• Mentor junior translators and manage priorities
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree in Translation or related field
• 3-5 years of translation and revision experience
• Strong knowledge of both official languages
• Proven ability to work under minimal supervision
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and translation tools
